Our Journey of Empowerment

Youth Elevation Project's story begins in 2010, when an innovative youth aviation program took flight and offered Philadelphia's young people a chance to earn their private pilot licenses at Spitfire Aerodrome. Through this unique initiative, deep experience was gained in guiding youth, crafting educational opportunities, and nurturing individual growth. Even after the program concluded in 2012, the passion for empowering young minds never faded. By 2025, a clear need for accessible, positive opportunities in the city's neighborhoods led to the proud revival and expansion of the Youth Elevation Project.

Today, the organization continues to build on these foundations by providing creative, hands-on STEAM programs in safe, welcoming community spaces. Youth Elevation Project has grown into a resource for children and teens ages 6 through 19 across Philadelphia, especially those from underserved communities. Programs in bucket drumming, media production, sewing for young men, and technology skills invite young people to learn, collaborate, and share their voices.

Commitment to mentorship, empowerment, and authentic connection shapes every aspect of Youth Elevation Project's mission. By intersecting creative arts with real-world skill-building, the organization inspires confidence and opens new pathways for every participant. The journey continues as Youth Elevation Project fosters hope and opportunity, supporting Philadelphia's youth as they discover their potential in a caring community.
